On this week's episode of Open Agenda (S2 E22), we discuss legislation that will provide the County Council with some level of oversight on certain county-issued contracts, and why this is necessary to provide a reasonable check and balance on the absolute authority of the County Executive and to prevent the misuse of your tax dollars. Additionally, we reveal how some Salisbury city council members are being kept in the dark on upcoming legislative matters, thus denying them opportunity to study the issues before casting their votes. We also address some troubling conflicts of interest involving certain members of the Planning and Zoning Board, and how this may be affecting the direction of growth and your tax dollars. Finally, we try to separate fact from fiction on immigration law enforcement actions that are purportedly taking place in our area (more to come on this in the near future). Tune in and be informed.
