On the October 6 edition of OPEN AGENDA (S2 E53), we give you a preview of the important County Council meeting taking place Tuesday 10/7 at the Government Office Bldg., Rm. 301 at 6:00 p.m. A work session will take place to discuss the impending Memorandum of Agreement with ICE that will authorize selected corrections officers to serve Federal immigration arrest warrants to detainees at the county jail. The County Executive has spread an astonishing amount of misinformation regarding the ICE agreement that we'll clear up for you with the actual facts. Regardless of how you feel about enforcement of immigration laws, we encourage you to attend the County Council meeting where the truth will be revealed, and to take the opportunity to speak your mind during the public comments segment.
