Pursuant to the County Charter, the Commissioners are appointed by, and submit their recommendations to the County Council for their consideration. However, the County Executive falsely claimed that the Commissioners are to be appointed by her, rather than the Council despite the Charter's plain language on this issue. Thus, her objections have no basis in law or fact, and this is just another example of the Executive's repeated efforts to usurp the Council's lawful authority.
