OPEN AGENDA has produced a special year-end episode (S2 E80) to address ICE's recent arrest and ongoing detention of a 24-year-old mother, Vanessa Parrazal, who was brought to the U.S. illegally at the age of two. The arrest, which involved busting out car windows, was conducted by a team of ICE agents in front of Pinehurst Elementary School immediately after Ms. Parrazal dropped off her child. We show you video footage of the arrest, and interview two close friends of Ms. Parrazol who tell the story of the surrounding circumstances. Following the interviews, our panel candidly discusses the larger picture, including the disastrous policies of the Biden administration, the failure of Congress to act, reasonable and judicious application of the law, and the enforcement tactics used by ICE. Regardless of where you stand on immigration law and enforcement, this is a “must watch” episode.
Season 3 of OPEN AGENDA will kick-off in early January. Meanwhile, we wish you all a happy, safe and healthy New Year!
